Shipping policy
Delivery
Every sofa is made to order and delivered to mainland UK, typically within 1–2 weeks of your order. Payton sofas take a little longer — typically 1–4 weeks. Over holiday periods such as Christmas, expect delivery to run slightly longer.
Delivery costs
Delivery is priced by postcode zone, and you'll see your exact rate at checkout:
- Zone 1 — free delivery.
- Zone 2 — £100 flat per order.
- Zones 3–6 — £100 flat per order, with the delivery day arranged with you after the order.
You can check your postcode's zone with the checker on our Delivery & Returns page. If checkout doesn't recognise your postcode, don't worry — get in touch and we'll arrange delivery with you directly.
Footstools and fabric samples are delivered free across the UK. If they're ordered together with a sofa, everything arrives as one delivery at the sofa's zone rate.
On the day
We'll confirm your delivery a few days beforehand and call you on the day. We recommend someone is available at the address all day. Please check that your sofa will fit through doors, hallways and staircases before ordering — our Measuring Guide walks you through it. If delivery can't be completed because of access, additional charges may apply to cover re-delivery.
Optional extras, payable to the delivery team on the day: assembly (£20), placement in the room of your choice (£20), and carrying upstairs where there's no lift (£20 — free where a lift is available, or delivery to the building entrance at no charge).
Replacing an old sofa? We recommend contacting your local council to arrange collection and recycling before the new one arrives.
If something's wrong
Have a look at your sofa when it arrives if you can — and if you spot damage later, you're still covered. If it arrives damaged or faulty, we'll repair or replace it, and you can have a full refund instead if you reject it within 30 days of delivery.
