The Footstool is 62 cm wide, 52 cm deep and 40 cm tall — a crisp square upholstered base with a flat, tailored top cushion. It is a shared piece rather than a range-specific one, so it can be ordered in the same fabric and colourway as any Furniture Done sofa or chair.

The base is a plain upholstered box with straight sides and no skirt, and the top is a single flat cushion tailored to it rather than a plump domed pad, so it stays level enough to rest a tray on. At 40 cm it sits a little below the 45 cm seat height of the Amalfi sofas, which is what makes it comfortable to put your feet on rather than to perch on.

Upholstered in your choice of three fabrics, twenty colours in all — every one fire-retardant treated and pet-friendly. Teddy Bouclé is a short dense bouclé-style weave, in White, Grey or Pink. Plush Velvet is a smooth short-pile velvet, in fourteen colours; the pile catches the light, so the same panel reads a shade lighter or darker as you move around it. Faux Leather is a smooth even surface with no weave or pile, in Black, Tan or Grey. Colour reads differently on every screen and in every room, so order a fabric sample and see it in your own light first.
