The London U Shape Sofa is 279 cm wide and 89 cm tall, with a chaise returning forward 159 cm at each end. Because both ends are equal it has no left-hand or right-hand version — it seats a room from three sides at once and works the same way round either way.

A low, plain square arm panel closes the outer side of each chaise, stopping just above seat height — that panel is what distinguishes London from a fully armless U. Three taut squared seat pads run through the piece: one long pad down each chaise and one wide pad across the centre. Behind them are four full-height back cushions — two across the centre run, one at each end turned inward across its chaise — plus two plump pillows lying diagonally along the low arm tops. The base is a plain low plinth on small dark tapered feet, with no studs, tufting or piping.

Upholstered in your choice of four fabrics, twenty-five colours in all — every one fire-retardant treated and pet-friendly. Teddy Bouclé is a short dense bouclé-style weave, in White, Grey or Pink. Plush Velvet is a smooth short-pile velvet, in fourteen colours; the pile catches the light, so the same panel reads a shade lighter or darker as you move around it. Faux Leather is a smooth even surface with no weave or pile, in Black, Tan or Grey. Dapple is a plush velvet with a face flecked in two tones, in Cream, Oatmeal, Caramel, Chocolate or Black. Colour reads differently on every screen and in every room, so order a fabric sample and see it in your own light first.

How do I choose left-hand or right-hand?

Stand in front of the sofa and look at it. Left-hand means the chaise runs off to your left, right-hand means it runs off to your right. Symmetrical corners and U shapes have no hand to choose — both sides match.
